The second part of my adventuresome day -

Then let me tell you people never set a glass or cup of anything around yellow jackets.. i mean i knew they got into cans and opened bottles and cup but i will tell you why i warn you -

I swallowed a yellow jacket today and he stung my throat 3-4 times. I was drinking out of a mcdonalds cup with a lid and straw and didnt think to check my straw etc even though there had been some yellow jackets around ...needless to say i took a big sip out of my straw and felt a lump when i swallowed .. first thought dang ice then came the first sting and I realized uh oh that aint melted ice

needless to say i called my doc cause i am mildly allergic to bees ( like have to take a little bendryll (sp? ) allergic) ... and I ending up spending several hours in the ER ... nice medium size allergic reaction storm .. swollen tongue, uvula, (the little dangly thing in the back of your throat for anyone who doesnt know ) , and throat and lowering O2 levels ... ugg

steroids, benedryll, zantac ( not just for stomach troubles !! ), and several xrays later I was on my way

I will live but throat is understandable very sore and my voice is on and off cause I was already hoarse from a sinus bout from visiting ga

And now I have to carry around an epi pen on top of all the other meds (( guess its time to buy a purse again ) and take predinose for another week ...

hows that for an icky adventure ?!?!?
