sooo far so good...Kayla had a headache last night. But I didn't know if it was a headache or a headache..ya know? But she slept until I woke her up a half hour ago and told her to go lay in my bed.
See...my son was sleeping on the bathroom floor..and I felt so bad that he was trying to NOT be out in the garage that he would sleep on the bathroom floor. And he wouldn't lay in my bed- some macho guy thing- no,,Dink is sleeping in there- and I said, "so what?" but it must break a man code or something. SO, I told Kayla- go sleep in my bed until its time to get up for school- and Ryan can sleep in your bed- so she did. Besides I cant get ready for work with someone sleeping on the bathroom floor. That breaks a mom code.
Nova- I'm sorry about your chickens. They came from the same place? Where? You should write them and tell them. It wont do any good, but I sure would tell them.
BYFM- what kind of shenanigans are you trying to pull? lol AND buttons can live in a twenty or thirty gallon..cots, no way. Dont let CERTAIN people turn you against buttons. I had them- they were so cool. And so many different colors. However, I think all birds do better in a wire cage rather than aquarium. Ventilation, ya know. Do you have a small animal critter cage? If not, let Nova tell you how to make one-and for the top use window screen. No worries about them skinning their heads then. If your cat will sit on top of it- bad cat- You can put a stiff wire lid on top of the window screen.
You know what I would love to have one day? A canary. A male singing canary. However, there is NO way I can have one while I have THESE cats. My cats dont mess with Dino- because he talks like a human and they were freaked out by him long ago. However, any little bird would be a conquest they would not stop til they ate it or traumatized it to death. They dont bother the chickens but as chicks...oooh my bad Gemma and Sushi and Emma- lunch if they can. Tootsie just wants mice- and has earned her keep a hundred times over, she doesnt care about chicks at all. Those other three do. They are indoor only- tootsie goes out and so does Punkin. The rest do not. Punkin and Radar are the boys and food comes from a bag...the others live to eat any little fluffy or feathered I would bring in. Princess is an ornament- she needs to live with some old lady who would just pet and brush her all day from sun up to sun down. Then sleep with her all night and no other cats. She runs through my house trying to hide from Emma Gemma and Sushi. I dont think she even would consider eating a bird. Too much trouble. She is really an ornament. She is the one you have all seen in my pictures with chicks.
Anyhow- I will one day own a singing canary. Because I sure dont want any more cats. Just Radar. Wish he could live forever.
