Well today is a warm day. I was out doing yard work this morning in just a t shirt and pants. Nice day all the way around.

Well, got the old dryer out, had to run to lowes and get a gas line cap for the t. Got the new dryer into the room, go to plug it in and wouldn't you know it. WRONG TYPE OF PLUG! OUTLET! So, need to buy a new outlet... Dagnabit!

Oh I so know how frustrating that is. But at least there's a dryer on the horizon.

With the wind blowing so hard I've been washing sheets and blankets. Takes them about 10 min or less to dry on the line LOL!

Oh, I bought the stuff to make that bucket feeder you had posted. I think it's going to be really nice. Did you liquid nail the bottom on or did you bolt it? I figured drilling holes in the bucket and pan and bolting them together might last longer...

Cleaned the coops out a little today (they were not too bad) and put the plastic and tarps back up that Sandy took out. Plenty of food and water to go around , and a new flock block for the big girls ... they always attack it like its the best thing they have ever had.... Got the little babies a new waterer and they all wanted to swim it it ..good thing they dont exactly fit into the water pan part beyond their beaks .., the duck has taught them bad stuff .... lol

I didn't know cats didn't eat if they couldn't smell; my cat has had nasal issues since he inhaled a tic tac once. Went to the vet and had antibiotics; my feral cat save turned into a $400 cat in a hurry! But he has a snorkley nose still and sometimes he goes for a day without eating, i thought it was because he was getting older- but i made a point of giving him food he could smell and he ate it up!

Random chickie loves



Today was a good day, i got DH to let the birds out at noon, so they got to play a bit. Of course cookie found what was left of my wild strawberry plants in my rose planter

Then when i got there i let out the babies, and we went on a grasshopper hunt. DH is an awsome grasshopper catcher; i only found 2 because i'm too pokey. lol.. But i did score big in the garden, i found what looked like thousands of meal worms only a couple inches down in one spot! Chicks got too excited and basically ran them over; cookie didn't waste any time! Just like her momma, she likes the little nibbles! Her momma was my skeeter eater I dug a bunch out and put them in a dish, then the babies chowed. The others weren't as impressed, they wanted the bigger things. Oh well.

Little by little i am integrating the chicks. They get pecked now and then, but for the most part no one wants to kill them; blue still is a chaser though and i don't like that because he chases everything! Henry gets biting mad when anyone takes off running!

So bugs and sardines were the score of the day, everyone went to bed fat and happy!

I bolted both the feeders I made. Figured it'd last that way. I only used one bolt.

I think it's a girl. Even with the pink comb. It looks flat and my RJ has a bigger comb than that already and he is younger. I think 3 months they are now.

Yes, dryer on the horizon. I am going to go to lowes tomorrow and look for an adaptor or a new outlet. If I can't find what I need, I will probably redo the end of the power cord with the type I need. John thinks this is stupid to do, but hell, why the heck would they sell end replacements if it wasn't something that could be done?

I am going to hang the towels tomorrow too. Supposed to be warm and windy. The wind will make the towels softer. Oh. Yeah.

I am off to nap. Its that day of the week again.
