Fuzzy's Farm

sad evening here. I arrived at the coop to discover that someone had eaten a marble size piece out of hope's rump :( Sometimes when i get there my little blue hen and my hope have jammed their selves into a tight spot, so someone is doing something, but i can't figure it out:( No one is showing aggression.

I caged those 2 separate for the night so they will be safe tomorrow.

There's no blood on the perch they slept on last night, only on the little cubby above the rabbit cage where they hand out sometimes, and on my d'uccle's wing; that girl is too timid to do damage but she may have brushed by hope when her butt was sticking out.

I can't see any blood on any faces, i know my babies are still picking sometimes because sometimes i see fresh feathers pulled, and the other day when she stuck herself in that spot someone had pecked deep into her skin, but not actually taken pieces.

It's very disheartening, i turned them completely loose and they still sit there and take the abuse. If i find one more aggressor i will have to put that one down too.

I addressed any possible space and feed issues, so any other ideas? The only true aggressor was the one put down already.
Would they be to scared to go down and eat and thus doing it?
Or a bad habit that got started and "took"?

Is there something bitter i could put on their tail areas so that it would stop it?

I tried bluecote already, didn't make it stop. They are actively after feathers, and i don't know what else could be lacking???

I haven't seen anything other than the standard pecking order stuff........ my porcelain d'uccles that are in the coop are super shy, probably from being with big birds too? Sharma the booted bantam thinks she's a big girl though........... they are porcelain, so the beards are really pale and i think they would show blood easily? Mine are underdogs;

My hen rank since giving up my big rooster is now princess the small blue and gold hen, then sharma the porcelain booted girl (she really isn't too much smaller than the little EE) and for some reason big old cookie is on the bottom. Really odd to see her bossed by birds a third her size!

The true d'uccle pair is their own seperate entity, they are on the bottom of the whole thing; then there is the babies which are also their own group.
