Fuzzy's Farm

C4L... If you want an honest answer, you could ask on the silkies thread. If you are talking about showing for 4H, you might find you have an easier time of showing her, but otherwise, I am going to say not really just by those pictures... You need to post several of her standing in proper position, and different angles... Like this one....

This is Leila and Roger. Both are 1/2 year old in the this picture. Roger, as you can see has a slight split wing going on, but other than that, he has good posturing, full crest and beard. His toes are spaced very well, and he has good feating on his toes. Leila had no DQ traits on her at all. There is a show standard that you should have a look at and work towards on what you want to show for both bearded and non bearded. Anyway, I'd really ask some of the silkie fanatics on the silkies thread, some one could give you better answers especially if you get pics of her standing up properly.

I am cursed and I am so sad....

Chicken Little...how I love Chicken Little and Bird. My gift pullets from Robin.

Chicken Little is a boy. Definitely one hundred percent serama boy. Crowing his heart out. No wonder he wouldnt lay an egg.

Im crushed.

My name is Bobbie, Really. Bobbie. I should be alright to post on this thread. Right?

Seriously, though. Thanks to you who gave me some help on the Golden Feather thing.

I have tried the BYC store site before. I'm so screwed up in procedural software SNAFUS that each time I try I get to a point where I'm told to go somewhere I have already tried. Man, I don't even know if I am regestered or not. Seems no matter which route I take I'm told to do the otheer one.

This morning I left my phone number and requested a call. I did that before but got no call. Maybe this time. Any how, Thanks ladies. I'll try Wynette too.

NOVA!

Yes I want you to hatch me out pinkskinned silkies lol and serama pullets! I even have a beautiful little serama roo that would be PERFECT for your breeding plans....

You know what kinda stumped me yesterday... I was reading the thread and HE said he let the birds out to free range for a while... I was like, WHY!!!!!? Why would he do such a thing! He'll have them tested again, they'll show up positive again and he'll just kill them all again. I know there are vaccines, but what I was reading the vaccine isn't a guarantee! Stupid stupid stupid!

edited to add... they can still get it, only it won't be as damaging as it is in unvaccinated birds and less likely to spread to neighboring colonies as long as you've vaccinated against WILD STRAINS... Oh... yeah...
That's what I was telling you on the phone the other night. Unless he is going to keep them in a glass house then he will be continually killing his birds !!!!
Well said. :)
Exactly. I even posted link after link showing this, as well as links showing that denaguard is used in the UK to cure them! But he only gave it enough to keep them from shedding the germ into the egg, then killed them. Didn't even give them the chance to see if it worked!

When i first joined and he killed his flock, did i read right that he sadly brought his favorite hens to the bathtub? Did he DROWN them???? What a waste of life. :(
Now we all know why I can't stand the little jerk !!! That plus what he done with the other animals. No use for someone like him.
Mom, if I get so lucky... I will try and bring some GIRLS to CS for you to pick from on the silkie end... I am sure I can get a few more... Of the 4 eggs I hatched from your hen and Roger, I got 3 girls and 1 boy! Unfortunetly, that black girl that I said you could have I had to put down... WAAA!!! Anyway... Will be looking for another silkie male early spring to mate with both Vanilla and Soledad. I know she's pink skinned, but you don't care about that do you? LOL.
Check with me before you get a roo. I have several extras.
