Hey Nova. Just did. Gotta say I'm very disheartened by a lot of what I'm reading. I'm sorry, but really? I've been biting my tongue because I just know if I say what I really want to say about some of the things, I would probably get flagged up the wazoo and end up like pimento.

If the cat is going to keep getting in, may as well shoot the cat dead instead of bb-ing it. They've talked to the neighbor, they've done nothing. Personally, I would have captured the catch and brought it to the pound the first time. We had one stray here who was trying for smaller chickens... Got one of the neighbors pullets... Well any way... Mr. Fluffers took care of it. It never came back after he went after it.

Please, just drop it. I haven't hit it again ever since, in a different thread, someone else informed me of how it can injure the animal. I merely want the cat to stop killing my sweet pet hens. I used to be friends with the cat till it bit me. It's name is Iddy-Biddy. I just saw the cat yesterday with it's owners and I (very, very, cautiously) pet it on the head. It has no injuries, and ever since I learned from other people's posts that BB guns can injure cats, I have been very patient and simply chase the cat off. And keep my dad from applying the triple-s rule.

We have used havahart traps, baited with Fancy Feast. It NEVER works! I set up a camera! The stinker never steps on the trapping mechanism and has himself a feast.

Lol, I almost considered using a cat food sacrifice. Lol, I could leave food out every night to appease him, but then I thought seriously. His owners would probably wonder why it wasn't hungry. Lol!

I don't like hearing them at night because it means that stupid cat is the freakin' chicken coop again. I have hit it with a BB gun, what, three times now?! Will it ever learn?! Stupid cat!

I have warned the owners, I have tried to catch the kitty, but after the 8th dead chicken, with the cat being the culprit, I have NO patience with this thing!

I will not be kind with this stupid cat anymore! Hopefully, it will realize that breaking into the coop+killing a chicken=mega-pain!

I am going nice with this cat, too! ONE pump only! That is not going to harm it!
