Fuzzy's Farm

yes, with home made matting. LOL. I haven't painted anything in a LONG time, let alone with water paint... I don't really count the paint by numbers... that had the outlines already done... Ok... so this one did too. I ended up taping the original drawing to the back of the water color paper, then taping that to the window with the sun coming through, and using the window as my easel. LOL. Anyway... Might have to reconsider doing it with acrylics to get a brighter color. BUT, I hope my boy is happy with it...

I love it!!! It turned out great!!!

Quote: x 2! Though if i ordered one, i'd want pastel colors on the background and keep the roo bold. I do think you draw well enough to sell, perhaps you could consider bringing some to chickenstock? Even thrift store frames and cheapo mattings would be an improvement for the excuses for pictures that are available at the stores!
Course i'm biased because i love roosters :D

Gaaa. I am so close to letting go of my original starting thread (not this one) I apparently don't know what i'm talking about, must be because it's not the popular truth.

:( I'd give up, but most of the lesson's i've learned were learned the hard way, i don't wish that on anyone. Especially to those who actually care about their birds. I hate that anyone who has pet birds is scorned; as if we don't do the same thing. I really need a degree to back me up. I wonder what it costs to get a degree in aviary medicine????

At any rate, found this while trying to answer a question http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2012/01/chicken-sick-bay-first-aid-kit-be.html

You know Fuzzy... don't let it go. People don't have to agree, you are providing information that you found, looked at, and found to be useful to you. Other people have found it useful, and there are some people, old one... who will never agree with anything you say, and you will be wrong always. They can kiss your royal white. I appreciate the thread, and there are several other who appreciate it too, otherwise it wouldn't be viewed or have people directing other people to look at it.

Thanks for the compliments. No... don't know about selling. Something to consider I guess.

Nicely done, Nova.
Fuzzy, I'm sorry your having issues with your original thread.
Savannah, sometimes it's easy to feel out of the loop especially when the conversation is flying, but just remember you're one of us and jump right in. Besides, if you hadn't asked what the skink (?) was, I wouldn't have known, either. So thank you.

Ever seen a chicken ice skate? Hilarious!
I took a treat out to the crew a bit ago and I tossed it in a patch of the yard that was clear of snow. There just happens to a very icy patch nearby from the last time we had rain and it melted the snow. Anyway, a few of the chickens would get in the group , grab a piece and take off in that direction. Once they got to the icy patch, ____WHEEEEEEE!!!!!____ right across. LOL It was so funny. I was just laughing my bum off especially when Newton tried to run across it after a few of the girls. He stood back up and tried to walk back over which didn't work so well, but he did finally learn to use his wings and "skate" across. LOL

Sigh. I know. It just irks me that some of the folks can't just disagree with my opinion without essentially telling me that i didn't know how to diagnose a constipated bird. A constipated bird doesn't take a rocket science to diagnose once you know what you are looking for. Very similar to egg bound. The REALLY HUGE LUMP is kinda a dead givaway, especially when you quarantine the bird and haven't seen anything come out the other end. Except a hard egg would feel different, and i did a probe and there was no shell . I can't be the only one in the world who has had a broody get constipated and die.

(sorry for the gross detail, but i did go the extra mile for my little girl. She was the sweetest thing) No creature deserves to die that way! Can you imagine? Is it even possible for a human to die of it?????
