Fuzzy's Farm

Hey Robin! Tee!

I hope you all enjoyed this warm day. It was nice, only now comes the very sucky part. Robin, hope you have a safe drive to work, and home from, in the morning. I am not looking forward to tomarrow at all. Not. At. All.

I candled the eggs finally. I am not sure if they've quit... I mean, there is very obviously a chick in there, only I have never candled at this point. I think I am nearly 2 weeks into it. Well, Big Red is. maybe 11-12 days.. Anyway, when I was turning the egg, it seemed that the chick and the yolk were just kind floating around in there all lucy goosey. Every other egg I have ever candled at a week, was always in one spot, didn't move all around as I turned the egg to look. There was no blood ring, soo... I guess we will find out in a week or so. Only 4 eggs were fertile.

About the job. I went for an interview today. I was told I will have a final answer on Friday, as they have to do a background check, and the boss is the one who has to do that, but she's on the east coast, won't fly back until wednesday, and so... Well there you have it. My sister told me that I pretty much have the job, but have to wait on the check. I will be the first person in the store, so... Look like I would start next week.

Going to go and make a lemon cheese cake! Oh. Yum.

I spent most of my day zoned out. I've caught the coughing crud from my daughter and feel like a mac truck has run me over. Headache all day, achy body and my entire face hurts. Should make for a lovely day tomorrow.

Anyway, I have to say there is something fundamentally wrong when a sebright bantam hen terrifies a 200lb 18yr old boy. My DS didn't see Baby Girl was still out when he locked up the coop tonight. I saw her on the back deck and sent him out to go get her when the next thing you know he's screaming like a freaking girl. Went out and he claimed that when he went to pick her up, she tried to attack him. Um, no, she doesn't do that so quit yelling and scaring her. She has a habit of flying up to your shoulder when you lean over. I told him to quit being such a wimp and then leaned over and up she flew on my shoulder.

Did I ever mention that I have little patience when I'm not feeling good?
