Fuzzy's Farm

BYFM, that monkey head is a trip. Very cool. The chandeliers are interesting too.

Fuzzy... you and peach...LOL

Pretty dog Bob!

OK... now about me...

I brought Beulah in the house and gave her a foot soak because she was walking a lot more... uncomfortably. Took a tooth brush to her toes and the bottoms of her feet, gently, and HOLY SHEEP! So much of her scales came off of one foot. One of her back toes on the other foot looks like it may fall off eventually, it is black and mishappen, I clensed it as best as I could. Well anyway, I trimmed her toe nails while I was about it. BUT that back toe that is black and mishappen was bleeding a bit above the black. I dosed her with tylan, although, that probably won't be the best treatment. I haven't got any penicillan, (SP), AND I took her over to the neighbors wrapped in a towel since her belly was quite damp... He held her while I coated her feet up with triple A, especially around the toe that fell off and the one that looks like it might. OH, I didn't post it here... Earlier this week, I picked her up to look at her feet, and the outside front toe fell off. JUST FELL OFF! I about crapped myself. Sam was thinking frost bite, but none of the others have anything like that. AND she's got the mites on the feet. There is very healthy looking skin under those scales, so, I am thinking that the Ivomec did do the job... BUT WOW! Can scaly leg mites cause toes to die and fall off? I had to cut her beautiful foot feathers down short just to clean her feet... She's in my kitchen right now on a towel in a tote, under the heat vent. Best place I could put her... Beulah is also suffering bald head disease... Gucking Florus loves him some Beulah...

I feel yulky today.
I have all the symptoms of being pregnant... all of them... except the positive test. I have literally made myself crazy. Stress maybe. What else would cause this?
DS has let me sleep in the past 2 days which has been really nice. Tonight I am going to bed at 9 for sure.
SIL and 2 of her kids have been over yesterday and today... the kids had a blast and both mommies need serious naps!!!

I don't know what I would do if my chickens toe fell off...

Well, I decided to look at the other three in there with her, that's the faverolles pen. They won't sleep in their coop. They sleep in the run. I am going to guess that this is the problem. I am taking down their roost bar, and am going to force them to sleep in the coop. Florus is missing both of his outside toes in the same spot that Beulahs fell off. Florus does not have mites on the feet. Florus did get frost bite on his comb and lost a few point. The thing is, their roost bar is wide enough that they can totally cover their feet with their bodies. I had no frost bite with any birds last year but they all slept in the actual coop. this year...Only the ones in the run. The other ones in the big coop, they even had a heat lamp because the respiratory infection. THEY were the only ones with that problem. None of the favs had it... Go, figure eh... SO... hmmm... Anyway, I don't know. I feel horrible now...

same here.

We've kept the chickens cooped up the last few days. All they seem to do when it's snowing is hang around and in the pole barn anyway so we thought we'd just leave them in until it stops. Last I looked the forecast says next week will be steadily in the low 40s. Really ready for it and hopefully it sticks around this time instead of getting snowy again. I really don't miss sliding past boxes anymore. Way over that.

I took 2... one in the evening and one in the morning... They were cheapie tests. I guess I should spring the extra money...

I have gone to bed and gotten back up already. Just a power nap

Woke up super nauseous and took 2 tums. Sitting up and playing on the computer helped too.

I have a roo that will not go in the coop. Not sure if he can't get up the ramp or if he is scared to go in there, or what... but BF made him a little "dog house" to go in and he hides in there. I still try to pick him up and throw him in the coop when it is too cold. I figure the sand in the enclosed run would not hold enough heat to keep him from becoming a chickencilcle (as DS would say
