Fuzzy's Farm

I can't believe how stupid those people acted over a fence. Its for everyone's protection. I don't get it...

As I said, if you do nothing, it eventually just shrivels which while it isnt cosmetic, it is much cheaper.
I plan on letting it dry up...
If I drain it, will it help or make it worse?
2 grand... YIKES!!!!
Ashli, a fence makes for the BEST neighbors. It keeps everyone safe and keeps problems from happening. I'm with Nova, I'd put it up on your property and not worry about the gripey people. And, yeah, I second looking for another rental where you can have your chicks back.

Rubbing an a hurt ear that has a hematoma with aloe vera or vit e oil helps also. Vetracyn or Nustock is the best also.
I will try the vit E and aloe! Thanks!
Ashli, perhaps the landlord would have been a bit better about the fence if he had known prior to it being put up.
Sorry about your millie :(

Yes, you are right. I should have told the landlord.

...........I own. She rents...
I think I will have the yard surveyed and put up an 8 foot privacy fence.... That will make me feel better...........

Tee hope you start feeling better soon! And Nova sorry to hear that your rooster is still not doing very good! I know it's not from your lack of trying. It's a cloudy dreary day here...

plus I am getting ready to get a 19 year old grandson that's still in high school. Not sure I'm ready for this!

says he wants a new start away from people he's been hanging aroun with. But he is not getting a free ride here! He's finishing up school and getting a JOB! Thinks he's a rapper which I hate! The lyrics are all about killing, anger and profanity, told him it ain't happening here! Plus he's not real crazy about wearing uniforms to school. Think this is going to be a trying tome at our house! Anyway any imput is welcome! Lol
WHAT????
Keep lots of food in the house...
Good luck!

Tee, have you gotten any antibiotic? Really hope you get better soon. I am thinking, allergies have probably kicked you too, I know mine sure did.
No, I haven't. A lot of my co-workers say I need some, but from what I have googled about my sysmptoms, I think I have bronchitis (one of my co's thought so, too) and if I remember right, antibiotic won't help. All I know is, it's still fighting me and if I can't shake it soon, the doctor will be getting a call. Allergies, maybe, but I know my asthma isn't helping at all with all this.

Do. Not. Give. An. Inch.
Have rules and stick to them. My son is 18 and graduated this past year. He isn't going to college and currently doesn't have a job (our area is terrible for jobs so he's limited), but we made a contract with him on rules and expected duties. He does a certain amount of tasks weekly in lieu of rent and we keep him to the rules of the house. I can tell you all I locked him out of the house one night for not getting in by the curfew we set and he's never been late since.

Lol, 39 is old enough to be a grandma. Lol
Oh my. I was just sitting here thinking Nova's about 34. Well, I say she's right because I'm hitting the big 4-0 this year and I certainly could be a grandma. I better not be, but yeah. LOL

I would have it surveyed and do that !!! but i can be that way sometimes... when we finally get our own house a privacy fence is a must !!!

Hey Savannah. Having three boys (I'm 60 - OMG - where does time go) go through that age, I so agree that they need rules. With love but definitely rules. If you're too tight you alienate but too weak and they walk all over you. I can sympathize about having someone back in the house. Mine are all raised and having families of their own and I'd just faint if they came back. DH would probably divorce me = lol.

Tee, asthma and bronchitis DO NOT mix as you know. Git thee to a doctor!!!!! Get some inhalers =both long term and rescue. My doc put me on prednisone which I hated but it did the trick. You don't want it turning into pneumonia.

Nova, you are a young thing! And I think you are a great mom. Your boys sound lucky.

Ashli, surveying and putting up a privacy fence sounds like the way to go.

Hi Rusty.

I can sooooo wait until my son is in his teens!!!
I love my sweet boy right now. He still wants cuddles and to be kissed goodnight!

I think I would keep him at this age forever. 4 is a great age.

Ill reply more when I'm not on my phone but I have three teenagers and two strays that live with me. Ha...I remember when they were younger and I thought they were hard. As long as kids are still short enough that you can physically pick them up and put them in their room, life is grand. Once they are bigger than you, life becomes more challenging.

Nope, i'm the one who's 34 :)

Rapper kid............. hmm. I can't stand rap. Used to love that kind of music when i was in high school, but now i can't stand it. Jiggy stuff. I am a rocker, and a country music girl, both old and new. Maybe he's trying to get away from the old crowd to reform? I will hope so for your sake; i had a friend growing up who got with the wrong crowd and became an actual gang-banger. So sad, he knew he made mistakes but once you are in getting out is next to impossible since they will hunt you down. :( I guess watching him suffer is what changed my mind about rap songs, once i saw the reality it wasn't so bright and fun sounding anymore.

Yup, hard rules and lead by example especially. Gonna take time to get used to a change in pace, but maybe sneaking off and hanging with a few chickens/ animals will soothe his soul, i know it worked for me :)

So no one had any ideas for my poor little rooster? He really isn't having a good time of it. I have the little hens locked in with him, but the eggs are clearly infertile at this point. And i think when the weather turns around the girls will want to brood those infertiles, help!

Florus wasn't able to get the girls until he was locked in, then he had to exert himself... I think... If they were completely separate? So the little hussies could not see the big roo? That's like poor ekta, in reverse though. Fritz doesn't want her, he wants the big girls... He likes fluffy butts, and he can not lie... Lol
