Fuzzy's Farm

I went on a Duck Dynasty bender. I watched every episode of the first season. I must say that I am now an addict. October 10 is much to far away. The new episode begins then. LOL. I am so pathetic. I am thinking I might have to watch American Hoggers next... I think that is the name of it... Hmmmm... Sometimes I just need help.
Don't we all, don't we all LOL

The cool thing, these guys have real values too. I love Uncle Si, and Phil is just something. That man is priceless. When I first clicked on it, I was so very totally expecting a bunch of ill spoken rednecks. These guys are so very NOT like that. All of them except one is college educated, and they are just... Well, almost makes me wanna go spend a day out in the woods blowing stuff up and away! LOL. The only thing that I don't like so much is the killing of animals they don't intend to eat... Like the snakes. Heck, they could have had some yummy snake burgers!

I took advantage of the sunshine and had a long day outside. Got the area around the run raked up, pushed the leaves in the run for now. The chickens are really liking them in there. I wish they would break down and make some dirt! Hard to grow grass in the sand.

Had the chicks out and about, boy were they happy to play today! They don't want anything but crumbles as of yet, but they had a blast climbing on my leg and leaping down...........often on an unsuspecting sibling, lol. I think they did it on purpose.

I unfortunately have a date with a welding machine. My door hinge came off again, so, this time we are going to try putting a steel piece both above and below the hinge, and then over the top... SO, welding the hinge back on, then welding steel above it, below it, then over top. The above and below pieces are going to welded to the frame where it is not rusted all to heck. Oh, I hope this one will last longer than two weeks. It just came off. GAH! How annoying. Also going to try it at a cooler setting, maybe it won't be so brittle... IN other words, we have not freaking idea what we are going, but we have a welding machine at our disposal. LOL. Sooner or later we will get it right. Hoping for sooner. I have to be there by noon when the bowling alley closes for a few hours in the afternoon. I want pie though... BUT Friday I do NOT have anything. I am telling every one that I am going up your way, and they best deal with it. I have to drop Jace to school at 9... I aint coming that early though. LOL. Um, thinking noon. Then I gotta be outta there by 3 to be back to pick Jace up by 3:50.

Hey Fuzzy - I 've been talking to a lady in Washington who is helping me with my Marans and she told me she crossed her Spangled Russian Orloff with her Blue Americanas and she said they were the cutest chicks she has seen plus she sold everyone of them BEFORE she sold any of her other breeds. I guess people went crazy over them. I might try that if I find some Blue Americana's

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, Teeville? (I think you wanted a recipe?)
Mine is rustic, for a normal sized pie i would use about 4 cups of sliced apples, not too thin as you want a good bite, pinch together 2/3 cup of brown sugar with 2 Tb cornstarch, 2 Tb butter. A Tb of cinnamon and whatever else floats your boat! Then i pour this into the bowl with the apples and GENTLY fold apples around (Or they will fall all apart) Bake until you really start smelling it, usually about 45 min

This isn't my apple pie, but it's good looking and i really get a giggle out of her :D
