I love the look of the breed, but wont own them anymore. They were timid around me- but bullies to the others. Made my poor showgirl bleed every time she went into the coop...ninja kicked and tormented my frizzles. Bad birds!

Darned kid kept me up all night because his tummy hurt from not eating all yesterday!
I can't tell you how many meals I made for him and he would snub his nose and say he was not hungry.
After sleeping for about 3 hours he woke up starving, ate a little, and was ready to get up!!! Just in time for me to be going to bed.
I didn't let him get up... but I tell you what, he won't be snubbing dinner anytime soon.

Chickens are going through feed like crazy now that the ground is frozen.
They probably think it is my fault it is so cold out.

BF "Locked up the chickens" last night
I asked "Did you throw Pate in the coop?"
"No"
And I said "Well then you didn't lock the chickens up... you did a half donkey job. It is not helping if I still have to redo what you did."

Then he said he wasn't talking to me
And I said "good cause you are 4"...

Sigh

On a better note
I got my second HOT Fresh-Out-The-Chickens-Butt Egg!!!
I think that is neat!
She lays between 7 and 8am now

Robin I am going to steal your purple carharts. I would probably scare the poo out of the birds. Maybe if I got a yellow set they would just think I was 'big Bird'.

LOL, I have my dads old hunting suit. He never hunted, but he sure liked to stay warm. LOL. It's bright orange camo and regular camo... Love reversable clothing. LOL. Now I just need to throw it in a washer before the really cold weather starts... Need to get my snow blower started too. I won't use it till I have too... I try and shovel the first several snows, that way I KNOW FOR SURE THERE ARE NO PROJECTILES TO GET IN MY BLOWER! Sure as heck don't want to ruin my 800 snow blower... I wonder what the chickens would think of the orange side... LOL

Nova depending on which side is out they could either think you are a pumpkin or somewhere to hide if the hawk is around!
DH got my snow blower ready for action last time he was home. Ready to go! But I am looking for a good warm pair of mittens.

Gotta get the water proof ones that come halfway up your arms for snow blowing.. LOL.

I just picked the kids up gloves from FFH that come up high. I hate that you can never find them in conventional stores. Everything is so cutesy, not really for big time playing. Leaves just above the wrist open, snow goes down the glove, up the sleeve. My kids are hard players and alway have chapped skin above the wrists. Well, not this year!
