Today I only got 9 eggs! WHAT?! LOL. I am complaining when I have 6 dozen eggs on the counter! LOL. I have been getting 12-14 eggs a day, and no extra light either, from 19 hens. I guess that cold blowing on their butts today made them change their minds... Hmmm. Yes they did finally come out of the coop and run.

I still have to get for my mom and my kids dad. I am painting and decorating the tree now. Just needed to have a sit. Yes... I said painted. Will post pic later.
 


Ok... got this just before the camera took a battery poop. Flash wouldn't work, but you'll get the general idea. I'll see about buying more batteries tomorrow, or using my phone and getting a better picture. Yes, not kidding, this is our Christmas tree this year. I was going to put up a tree, but I was joking with my mom about just drawing one on the wall, and she got all "that's stupid" so... Yes, I know spiteful of me, but HEY, I thought it'd be rather creative and the kids would remember it... But her response... SO, I did it.
I edited so it'd lighten up to see...

Nice! :thumbsup My Nana sent us our Old World Christmas ornaments yesterday. All of us get one every year, and this year I got a rooster. It's so cute! :D

lil... Do you want pets or eggs? If you want pets, get silkies... You'll get small eggs, but fun little birds. Brahmas make both great pets and egg layers. Faverolles have great faces, and the roosters are simply gorgeous. I must say that I am partial to my mutt birds. Lol, but love my faverolles. Most my birds are faverolle crossed and several pure. If you want a great egg laying bird, New Hampshire's, RIR's , leghorns are nice, great free ranging birds, and have personality too. Copper Marans are givers of dark eggs and are very very pretty. But you need to have black copper marans to get those dark eggs. Want colorful eggs? You'll need Easter eggers, olive eggers and there are a few others that lay blue or green...
 
Fuzzy, I'm so sorry about Little Bean. You did everything you could and he was warm and comfortable.

That's the most unusual tree I've seen, Nova. You are a good artist.

I've almost got presents finished but just found out all the neighbors are coming over tomorrow night. Means I've got MORE cooking to do. Oh well...
