Well, I have to say... those girls are getting to be very annoying! Yes I said it. I think I will have to seriously reconsider the pen set up as soon as I actually have more funds available. I caught Little pretty taking a flying leap to get up and over the fencing dividing them (faverolles) from everyone else. SO, once she did it, so did Loralie. Beulah and Sheh-Sheh did not.

I went and put 3 serema eggs and 2 faverolle eggs under Skatter after all. I decided we'd see what happens. Cross fingers. If nothing good happens, then I know where townline is, will try and slip her a few something...HAHAHA Right.

Fia has moved into the garage. I don't know why. She's not ill. I think she's just decided she likes it in there. I am thinking though, that my mom wasn't to happy about her freaking egg song this morning. Fia is loud. She tells the whole world how she just created breakfast for us pathetic humans, and that she should be honored, praised, be made queen for having done it. AND she carries on for an hour at times. She'll even get a chorus line going if she acts like she is being brutally attacked while she's laying her egg. Not kidding. Did I mention she is loud? LOL, it's actually kind of funny.

The dogs now... They set the birds off today. I guess there was a squirrel on the steps leading off the deck, so they went tearing off after it, barking in excited high pitched, oh let me have it, i wanna play with it, mine mine mine, tones, and now you have 30 birds in the pen, who can not see what is going on in the outside world, freaking out like they are the ones under attack. Could muzzled them mutts for starting a riot.

Pat... Now here is a new Pat the bitty big balled rooster story... Pat has decided that HIS spot is under HIS bike. He has been hanging out under Jace's bike. I don't know why. I'd think the pavement would be cold, but he apparently likes that spot during the day. One of the garage hens heads on in the garage, and Pat, with his newly aquired big balled attitude has decided that no hen may come near his bike unless she is 1) a garage hen; 2) she is actually a he named Rod Stewart, in which case Pat runs like hell, which is funny all on its own, especially when he face plants himself trying to run, Rod doesn't even give chase anymore...; or 3) She's Ekta. Ekta can go by the bike all she wants, because she is smaller than he is, but she won't live with him. SO anyway, One of yet un-named hens, black one, one of Skatters summer babies, went by his bike, he chased her all the way out of the garage! Chicken cursing up a storm. Now this is funny, because Pats legs are bowed a bit, set farther apart than they should be and because he has so much fluff, he gets tangled up in himself. He face plants on occassion. I need to have a camera ready when this happens. It is hilarious and sad and hilarious all at the same time.

Only got 11 eggs today. Lazy broads.

I actually did some shopping at the new Target grocery section. It wasn't to badly priced. Know now if I have to go to target for something or other, I can still grab some groceries there too. It was very neat. Milk price was the same, campbells soups were cheaper, tater tots (tater tot casserole) were with in a few cents, and targets brand cheese was also with in a few cents or meijers cheese. I normally only get shredded when it is on sale for $2 a bag, then I buy a few. But, what I was looking at was ok. They've got the basic selection of things, prices ok..

Target groceries here are at good comparable prices as well although I usually shop at wallyworld....or if they have a decent deal at Giant...I am thinking of getting rid of everyone but tiny daffy and the girl for Daffy until spring..and then starting over ...or even waiting til we can move to start over

Aargh! Trying to do too much at once. Was dipping my chicken tenderloins in egg and parm cheese while melting butter for the pan. Took a bit too long and the butter burned so I grabbed a small pan and poured the butter in it and started over. Put the small pan on the other counter by my electric mini chopper. Went to grab the chopper for the bacon and the top slipped out of my hand into the burnt butter pan.

Hey there Silver. Might be easier with the moving... going from a colder climate to a hotter one... Maybe less stress on the birds?
