Fuzzy's Farm

Have a question that maybe can be answered by some of you. My youngest DD has been sick since last week with the flu. Right now she's down to a cough, headache and sore throat. I can manage the cough and headache, but can't seem to get the sore throat better. I've tried throat drops, otc medicine and salt/water gargle. The gargle is the only thing that makes it feel a little better, but the others don't help at all. I looked in her mouth and don't think it's a strep issue so I don't want to call up the doctor because I know they think it's a waste of their time if it's not something major. So any helpful ideas on what I can do or try to make it better for her?
ACV compress on throat, honey, and ceprocol spray... eat lots of garlic it has antibacterial and antiviral properties!!
I think I am in love!!! That is a sparrow... right?

You got that part wrong BYFM.....It's what's best for me !!!! Not me and mine. I could really care less what he thinks about anything lol

.
I have found that honey, lemon juice and burbon, sipped slowly for several hours make me pain free. Makes me feel better even if I don't have a sore throat.

One might not use the treatment too often though as it tends to produce headache.
Mmmm... I could use some of that tonight... I got the vino though!
Anyone watch Downton Abbey? I got to watch the first season on Netflix, but haven't been able to find it anywhere else to watch season 2 and I know they're on season 3 already... Man, is it good. Real enjoyable.
YES... And I need to see the 2nd season!

I'm not getting any babies. Nope. Decided to be good and not get any this year. If one of the hens goes broody then I'll let her do all the work, but I'm just not going to. And I won't be swayed no matter how many cute fuzzy butt pictures get posted.

ah hah ha...Im not doing babies this year either. They are illegal. These are recycled eggs.

I have a blonde in there now. These particular eggs are sure not doing their thing at the same time. I do not know if it has the same Mama or not. This one could be my showgirl's OR the frizzle. It came from a smaller tan egg. Both of them lay tan eggs.
Anyhow- picture the one I already showed you, only all yellow. I think. Gotta crane my head upside down to see in the incubator because its behind the quail. Im gonna snatch it out before I go to work so it can be friends with the other one. This one a day hatching is for the birds.

ah ha ha ha ha....

and nothing against the barred rocks- just that their zebra patterning messes with my eyes and I cant deal with it. lol.

and the australops, well- the group I hatched out many moons ago were mean. just plain mean.

Okay....so I am terrified to bring my girls back.

Because I know if I get busted again it will be a fine, and forever. I wont ever be able to scam anymore in because they will check.
I wish my neighbors were friendly.

Someone create me some little serama hens that dont bellow out an egg song...and make em lay BLUE eggs, and ummmmm,

make them have the ability to turn into stuffed animals or statues whenever someone looks at them.

yeah, thats it.

Robin..thats a good project for you. Take Huey and breed him with a serama. Then take THOSE babies and breed them with a Robin... *(ah ha hah ha...I didnt mean that to sound so weird, but now that I have done it...bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha....)

that should make some blue egg laying small statues or small bowling balls...oh! Lawn statuary...not chickens.

Can you all believe that Huey is still alive? Robin is so awesome. He has outlived his life expectancy by far!!!!!
