this is the baby that I saved from its naked head and neck shrinkwrapping. It hates me. See it peeping in the picture? Thats what it does whenever I pick it up. The yellow ones do not, and the penguin first one is rather mean. Picks on the other chicks.

That looks partridge to me. It is soooo cute. I like the penquin one best LOL

I had to take the fake Mama out. Someone crapped on the ends of her feathers and caused them to make a noose- which then cemented itself to the yellow chicks neck feathers- head inside the noose.

I had to perform micro-surgery to set her free...and then kept the mama out. She served her purpose when the quail were bitty.

Morning, Everyone! Bright and sunny day but coldddd. So cold in our bedroom where the heat doesn't reach that DH and I got up at 6 and moved into the living room where it was warm - lol. Gotta get the heater going in the bedroom but it's almost spring (according the Pawxatawny (sp?) Phil) so probably not worth the effort. Today is goat day - trimming hooves, giving shots, worming. Boy, are they going to love us...

Ugh... gotta go and work on laundry... again...

Why is it never done with boys? NEVER ENDING LAUNDRY! AHAHAAHAHAAAHAHAAA... Sing to the tune of Never ending story... It works.

Sorry, Nova, but I think laundry is a living thing. Even when the boys moved on, the laundry keeps piling up. I don't know how that happens...

Nope, none at all. The fire station out here is the "cush" job in Norman so the old guys who have lots of years and close to retirement get this assignment. Not much happens out here so even when it's burning cake, they race around with their lights flashing and sirens blazing 'cause they are so happy to get out of the station. But when they arrive at the site, they can hardly get out of the engine 'cause their arthritis is so bad. LOL!
