I believe I would go with a pasture mix Nova. That way you have a little bit of everything and it holds up very well. I used to work up my pastures every so often and sew them with pasture mix.ROBIN! I NEED A BIG BIG BIG FAVOR! Ok, it's not a favor, just a question that I hope you can answer, or any one else for that matter... I was thinking of grabbing a bag of clover and greens seeds from TSC, its for drawing deer actually, but supposed to spread and cover. I have an area around the coop and where the ducks were that has been completely decimated of all vegetation thanks to the ducks joy of rooting. Now, I could replant grass or something, but I was thinking maybe this clover mix would be nice instead. I'd have it fenced off to keep the birds out of it until it was started and took root well and was at least up over my ankles before I let the chickens back in that area. Would that be a good idea? Would it hold up to the chickens? It'll also be then in the area I will be ranging meat birds come later spring...
I always write everything down on a calendar and in my brooder house on an erase board.Skatter escaped her broody area with her babies today. I had to get her back in for the night. Pat the Rat keeps wanting to attack the intruder. All of the other birds are fine with her there, but he is NOT. I guess tomorrow I will have to figure something else out for her. I do not want to take her back to outdoor coops yet...
Big Red is still holding. She's doing good. Only now I can not remember what day they were set under her, so I don't remember if it is 4 days or 5... I need to mark the calendar. I think I need to make a bigger brooder in the garage... She's much bigger than Skatter...I will figure on 2 weeks to build it...
My head ache s still kicking. I finally broke down and drank a coffee. Hope it helps because the other stuff isn't. I am out of excedrin too. I am too lazy to drive the half mile to meijer to get some.
So sorry, Tee.Argh! Spoilers!
I haven't watched season 2 yet.
Lol I don't think Maggie much liked her outing - she shook all the way even with me riding in the back telling her it was okay. She's laying down this morning and not eating. I'm thinking it was the shots that's made her yucky today. DH and I gave her probios and Vit B12 this morning sos maybe that will help. I'm about to go out and check on her. Darn goats!Morning Robin and everyone else!
Savannah, most of us here are in Michigan.
Gigi, dang goats! They are sure to make us worry about them one way or another. Even if they aren't starved for attention they think spoofing is a way to get spoiled all the more. How many goats get to go on a outing!
Sorry about the skunk!
Nova hope the headache is better today.
