My RIR is in a big kennel alone and something tore her head up while we were gone ... and we have recently seen a rat out near the food shed which is not too far from her ... that is the only thing we can think of .... finally hopefully got it to stop bleeding and put on anti cream but now im worried if it was the rat he will keep coming back and fighting or attacking her ...

silver, I think if a rat was inclined to, it probably would. If one did, I'd be watchful of the RIR. And I would think it likely to return. It has a food source and will fight for it.

Nova, all your drawings are very good. I couldn't draw like that if I tried. It's kind of funny. When I saw your son as batman, it reminded me of something I posted to my son's fb wall. we got poison put out before bed tonight hoping the rat finds it .. i hate wild rats and we have never had them here before ... my poor hen looks awful and im worried about her..she is the last of my original flock and was a gift from my sister .....i am wondering if maybe she thought it was a mouse and got it by the tail and found out different .. cause she likes mice ....

Hi Silver! Rats I hate them. Be careful with the poison. Make sure the rat is not able to be consumed by anything else or the poison could also effect that animal.

Went to a friends house today. Grand-kids wanted to see all the lambs and stuff. (So we all know who I am talking about) This very nice lady sent my 14 year old grand daughter home with a bunny. Thanks, nice lady we spent the rest of the afternoon fixing it up a new home and still not done. But between you and grandpa you made her eyes twinkle. Kids need a spark now and then! Thank you for making her smile!

we put it in the food shed down in the corner where we found his tunnel away from all the animals and the food ... hopefully that does the trick without anyone but it getting harmed... hes the only one we have seen and we are hoping that fixes it ...

aww that was sweet .. my DD wants another one but we told her after we move and get set up on our own ..as is got a lot of animals to move .... 7-8 weeks and counting now and i havent got a thing done
