Fuzzy's Farm

Hi Savannah. All I can say is life is going. Giving me a bit of a beating, but I'm handling it.
Nova, I didn't realize it either until I bought my second bottle. For whatever reason I looked at the directions and that's what it said for the migraine one. Not sure if it's that way for regular excedrin, too, or not. At any rate, be careful not to overdo them. My DDs neuro told us that nsaids in general (aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, etc) can actually contribute to headaches if taken on a regular daily basis.
As for The White Princess, I have started it, but haven't gotten too far yet. I've been so tired lately that every time I try to read it, I start dozing off within a few pages. Oh, I was so aggravated the other day! I was scoping out BBC One on the internet and they have shows you can watch so I saw The White Queen and tried to play it. No good. Message said viewing content wasn't available yet for America. GRRR I'm really getting annoyed by the delays in their programming coming over here so I can watch it. All I have is internet, no cable, so I have to wait and wait and wait.

And if anyone wants to try a new read, I just finished a book called Letters From Skye by Jessica Brockmole. Very good, couldn't put it down.

i'm doing better, neck gave a mighty crack this afternoon so the migrains should stop for now and i can wean down off the exedrin. I think it stems from a car accident i had, if my neck pinches/ bones get stuck the wrong way i get migrains until i can work it loose. Don't take much to happen, but usually a week or two before it stops and that's IF i continue taking meds to keep my muscles relaxed enough to let it pop!

My baby d'uccle girl isn't doing well. The meds are keeping her alive but she's half the size of her brother and lungs are still doing badly. I've come to the conclusion if she does live she may not be able to be an outside bird, just too small and weak. She is a sweetie though and comes running for loves.

DH's chicken abandoning stepsis: I have the 2 remaining birds in custody morals and ownership be danged. Can't handle the stress of finding piles of feathers, and my flock has been terrified as well. One is the speckled sussex she was thinking of selling to me, and the other is one of the older barred rocks. Poor girls are so stressed that even though they were exclusively free range birds they are happy in my little tiny coop with my d'uccles! I had one other but she found out and demanded they be released and by the next afternoon the neighbor's dog came and got her. I found the tracks. :(

Which led to me drinking a good quantity of adult grape juice and eating most a tub of orange ice cream, Oooooo what a tummy ache! Not a hangover one but straight up "oh no what have you done" feels like intestines are being ripped one. :/ LOL. But better now. So now my conscience is good with being bad for now.

Made homemade soup out the two of the boys today. Yum.

Had to cull a pullet today, might have to cull two more tomorrow. It was just too bad word hard to have to do all three tonight... Gah... mareks... mareks is attacking my incubator babies... Not all of them, just 3 of the girls...

are you sure it's not the vit thing?

I lost my little one this morning. I even had bought some tylan last evening and treated her, i thought she was doing better because she was breathing quieter. I still don't know but i strongly think it was a heart murmur. I searched and there were 4 possibilities but her poops were normal and no one else has gotten anything.
I think she must've been the one i helped out of the egg. I don't regret it though i gave her 6 weeks of happiness and loves. She even stole banana from her brother the night before so i know she was happy.

Hey everyone, thanks fuzzy for drywall tips, gonna try it. I haven't even started it yet, been so busy last few days, really wanting o get moved in by fall but money is very tight and stuff is expensive! But it's gonna be ok. It's been o hot here that it's hard to get motivated to do much in the heat. Hope everyone has great day! God bless

Nova do you feel that this is the turkey version or is this a tame version of mereks? I really , really want to find a good chicken vet. I think i'm gonna start doing calls and door to door; there HAS to be one around here. Idk if a reg vet could i.d. the 2 different versions though. MSU perhaps? Do you remember how much necropsies were?
