Click the little picture button like you are going to post a picture. They must have added a new feature since the last time I posted a picture -- not surprising with how infrequently I do so -- there will be a list of "Recent Pictures" there. If you were to open one of those pictures in and of itself you will see that it is stored on BYC's server (IOW, the URL where it is located on the internet is a BYC URL -- such as this one: http://cdn.backyardchickens.com/5/54/54939d92_64523f86cb8911e1b9f1123138140926_7.jpeg which was a cake picture I posted using a URL and deliberately did not upload to BYC, yet there it is on BYC's servers).

They have long had the "upload to Default Album" box on the photo upload screen set to auto check -- that is, if you weren't paying attention all your photos would be automatically uploaded to your default album anyway. But I have always unchecked that box. Apparently, they've been sneakily covering their bases by uploading them also to this "Recent Pictures" file without notification or consent. Not only is it a low down and sneaky move, it's a gross over reach and breach of privacy. If you go to your profile you will find that you are not permitted access to these pictures, your pictures. At least in the "default album" you have access to edit or delete, not so with the "Recent Pictures". IMO, this speaks volumes about the ethical compass of the Administrators behind BYC.

I don't give a tiny rat's behind. They know what they're doing is dirty. You don't upload people's photos without consent or notification. Period. I never post pictures of value or containing identifying information so it's really not a big deal for me, but that's not the case for many BYC users. This is a matter of principle.

I made Pancake Cups the other day for dinner... The recipe was too eggy for me

1 cup flour
1 cup milk
6 eggs (I would now use 3-4)
1tsp vanilla
.5 tsp salt
1/4 cup melted butter (I would now use 1/8)

Mix flour through salt together mix well. No lumps.
Pour in butter slowly.

Place batter in cupcake pan (No papers needed) Fill each hole 1/4-1/3
Cook at 400* for 15 min or until tops are golden brown!

They were yummy though! I put raspberry jelly on them! Mmmm!

I drank a wasp once too...
I thought I had glass in my pop can! I thought I had cut my tongue and went to spit it out and the wasp landed on the table and flew away!!!
My tongue was swollen for days! It was so painful! I can't imagine actually swallowing the thing!!!

Fuzzy, I am thinking strawberry stuff for home one of these nights!

If you really wanna indulge, slice some strawberries in there and find some of that fruit dip and stir it in...........OMG. So good adds a lot to the price, though!
I brought that version to thanksgiving once and i barely got one bowl!

I made a lemon cheesecake though.

Oh god. I think I might be a bad person...... that chick I lost last night, he had drowned in the goat's water bucket. Well, in my rush to get him in the ground, I totally forgot to dump it out.. . His sis fell in. Luckily she found a shallow spot for to stand...I've got her stuck in my sweatshirt wrapped in a towel now. She keeps "clicking" her beak. Any ideas what that means?

I feel so horrible. . . .

Ms. B -- Don't beat yourself up. If this is the first and only time in your life you suddenly think, "OMG I might be a bad person." You're doing well. You can blow dry the little chick with a hair dryer to speed up the recovery. Don't ask me how I know. LOL!

Thanks Olive. . This isn't the first time I've contemplated me being a bad person, but it certainly is worse when it's a little chick. I'm getting the blow dryer out soon, but she's sleeping now and I wanted to let her calm down. And I'm going to make my brother get the heat lamp ready.She's Breathing normally now, So I think that's a good sign......
