We LOVE the Habitat for Humanity Restore! I found this crazy window once, it was like an asymmetrical trapezoid, which really I guess makes it not a trapezoid but that's the best way to explain it......we picked it up because it would look cool in the chicken house but never got it put in....

College is still a few years away....I'm almost done with my paper, I just need to edit a bit, and add some more length too. I'm almost at the 1200 words, and the minimum is only 600, but it feels kinda short still. For some reason the thing-a-majig that let's me turn in assignments isn't working, and my teacher's gone till Thursday, so I have to wait until then to turn everything in......I will get it done though!!! Eventually....

You go girl! NEVER too early to start thinking about college...

My d'uccles are packing their suitcases to go to Robins.
They are MEAN.
I wish she didnt live so far from me. Ever since I brought home the bitties- the serama and the OEGB, the d;uccles have beaten the crap out of my showgirl- like its her fault. They make her bleed and once they start attacking her, they wont stop. They do this all day and when its time to go into the coop.

I love the way they look, but they are too mean for my little illegal backyard barnyard. They need to be separated and Robin has other duccle hens and a rooster.
Hopefully my hubby will meet her somewhere when he goes out to hunt in two weeks.

they packed up my neighbor tonight- the remaining stuff is being pillaged by the other neighbor- they are loading up every last scrap of everything they can get their greedy hands on. its disgusting the disgrace and greed and theft that becomes apparent when someone isnt able to defend their things- my neighbor is a suicidal alcoholic and drug addict and his parents came to take him away to rehab; He has lived next door for thirty years, and his house is empty now. He wont be coming back and they are even taking out the stove and the picnic table from the back yard.

Now I wait to see who is going to move in and threaten my backyard illegals!

This happened recently to a friend of mine, my food critic actually. He moved out of state and left his things at a friends and in the shed next door, with permission for to use the shed, since DH's aunt assured us all she would not be renting again. Then she did, and we have had nothing but troubles since. In the end, DH's stepmom put a free for all on our friend's things. Even though he had made arrangements to have the stuff out, it was crazy. They didn't want the stuff OUT, they wanted the stuff!

My MIL got me a beautiful doll house for christmas!!!! I have always wanted one! I am 25 and I finally am getting it!

Someone was throwing it away!!!and a lady brought it in to the church rumage sale! They marked it at $25 and my MIL snatched it up. She asked my SIL if she wanted it first... she said no! I said I wanted it but I had no where to put it an I couldn't spend the money (didn't have the money). She surprised me by calling my mom and asking her if she would store it for me until I had the room.(and MIL would pay for it!!!!)
Maybe I will have to get some chickens to go on the porch for it LOL!!!

I got the little girl that I watch a Little Tikes doll house too! It has a whole family with it! I got it for $10!!!! They sell for $90 in the store.

Today is my MIL's Bday...

I think she liked her gift LOL She loves dressing up for the holidays!!!
DS told her "Grammie... your dead turkey hat creeps me out"!!!!!!

I am grateful for your honesty! And I don't see that offending anyone. If the rest of my flock was "healthy" I would not cull either.
I understand that they become carriers of diseases but if you are not spreading it/chickens to other flocks...why should we mind?

I HATE eating ground beef. I have eaten less and less chicken over the years too. I couldn't figure out what bothered me until I read it on BYC... I can't eat the chicken if it still smells like live chicken... Does that make any sense? It does to me...
Also, I CANNOT eat microwaved meat. 1) It freaks me out when it gets rubbery 2) It tastes different

I called my daughter at nine to open it and she told me everyone was chickencussing her out.

My chickens do that too if I am "late" opening the coop...

I'm not really fanatical about snakes but when they fall out of the sky on you it's another story.

That is terrible...

I worry about getting new neighbors too. The ones I have right now are great! And since the crazy lady on the corner got a new hubby and her ex took the dogs... no more barking at 3am!!!
I have to tell you her story:
She married a nice man (That is how all the neighbors describe him) that died of cancer...She got his house.
She got a BF and he lived with her for years...
She found an old HS flame on FB and married him 2 weeks later... YES TWO WEEKS LATER!!! Kicked BF out sometime in between... he took the dogs!
