Fuzzy's Farm

Have you ever noticed the colors in fast food joints? After eating in one, are you in a happy mood? Um, no not really, because you ate too much... Yellow...

Color psychology...
The Color Psychology of Yellow

  • Yellow is a bright that is often described as cheery and warm.
  • Yellow is also the most fatiguing to the eye due to the high amount of light that is reflected. Using yellow as a background on paper or computer monitors can lead to eyestrain or vision loss in extreme cases.
  • Yellow can also create feelings of frustration and anger. While it is considered a cheerful color, people are more likely to lose their tempers in yellow rooms and babies tend to cry more in yellow rooms.
  • Yellow can also increase the metabolism.
  • Since yellow is the most visible color, it is also the most attention-getting color. Yellow can be used in small amount to draw notice, such as on traffic sign or advertisements.

The Color Psychology of Blue

  • Blue is described as a favorite color by many people and is the color most preferred by men.
  • Blue calls to mind feelings of calmness or serenity. It is often described as peaceful, tranquil, secure, and orderly.
  • Blue can also create feelings of sadness or aloofness.
  • Blue is often used to decorate offices because research has shown that people are more productive in blue rooms.
  • Blue is one of the most popular colors, but it is one of the least appetizing. Some weight loss plans even recommend eating your food off of a blue plate. Blue rarely occurs naturally in food aside from blueberries and some plums. Also, humans are geared to avoid foods that are poisonous and blue coloring in food is often a sign of spoilage or poison.
  • Blue can also lower the pulse rate and body temperature.
  • Consider how blue is used in language: blue moon, blue Monday, blue blood, the blues, and blue ribbon.

The Color Psychology of Green

  • Green is a cool color that symbolizes nature and the natural world.
  • Green also represents tranquility, good luck, health, and jealousy.
  • Researchers have also found that green can improve reading ability. Some students may find that laying a transparent sheet of green paper over reading material increases reading speed and comprehension.
  • Green has long been a symbol of fertility and was once the preferred color choice for wedding gowns in the 15th-century. Even today, green M & M's (an American chocolate candy) are said to send a sexual message.
  • Green is often used in decorating for its calming effect. For example, guests waiting to appear on television programs often wait in a “green room” to relax.
  • Green is thought to relieve stress and help heal. Those who have a green work environment experience fewer stomachaches.
  • Consider how green is used in language: green thumb, green with envy, greenhorn.

Anyway... there is more things obviously, but color can very much affect moods...
Blue is my "working" color. When you see me wearing it, that means i am in a cleaning/working mood. I wore muted grey with a touch of blue shirt to put in my app, and a blue muted with grey suit skirt to do my interview. (Black as contrast, black is power) So i looked strong and work ready! I figured it was neutral and soothing, and it really seemed to make both me and them relaxed :) So blue must be viewed as a work color by others too.

Green.........i adore green. Especially jade green. My camper was supposed to be jade, but i like the color that's on it as well. Birds aren't supposed to be able to see green, but mine studied the paint job for some time after it was done, they seemed to like it! I chose it to symbolize the symbiotic relationship that the birds and i have. I am very much a nature-nurture person! It was funny to see that it meant fertility as well........................ Healing is good. I needed to heal from much when i got my birds, and my bp is mostly gone these days.

my dad used to do that. My ex too. Holes in walls. Must be a guy thing. Only my ex washed his own uniforms.

If a guy tried that in my house he'd be gone. Sorry, just me. Nobody put holes in the wall and if they are that angry they don't need to live here - ha.
My dad's done that before. He tried it again and hit a stud.

Good news Nova. I spoke to her today and after the holidays she may be back. YAAAAA
That would be so super. I miss Olive.

Jace's play was fun. It only lasted 12 minutes. I did video tape it. I also took a few pictures. I forgot to change the camera setting though, I hate when I do that. I also suck at video taping... LOL
Aiden thought it was great!
Those pictures are so precious, Nova. How much fun!

Ummm, I could tell ya what my mom told me today. Scared the crap out of me, but it's probably not "post appropriate". Well, she also told me if I was going to be a baby she'd spank me like a baby. So she did. Spankings don't hurt as much as they used to.......
My boys would laugh which would make me even madder - LOL! Now that they are grown they say the thing they hated most was being grounded. That was a pain but evidently worked.

Stupid people Kim. I would have told that guy that # 1 - You don't carry on a whole $480.00 worth of conversation about me with my kid and # 2 - You better go seek counseling if you really believe you are worth that much an hour !!!!
REALLY!!!

Are you all getting rain? I'm so jealous. It's been 90 here and our lake is so low you can see the bottom in many places. It is supposed to cool off this weekend but I don't think any rain is in the future

I got caught in the "Fatal Error" stuff last night. Couldn't get on at all. I'm so glad everything is back this morning.

Well, I'm sitting in the living room and can here the girls through the closed windows. They really want out badly so guess I'd better go open the pop door. Have a great day seriously.

If blue is calming also i wonder if that's why i'm obsessed this last couple years with blue birds??? Anything blue and i want it! (or lav, it looks the same)

chickens, turkeys, doves..............oh i would love to have a blue dove.................Now that's a soothing bird. Very quiet, but can't be stressed! They are affectionate though. My parakeets were noisy and reminded me of a room full of preschool kids! Fun but these days i don't need excitement!

Good Morning All

DH left this morning, so I am going to try to catch up on what I have missed the last few days.
Everyone have a good day! Enjoy todays weather !

anyone have advice on angsty 12 year old boys with attitude beyond a spanking ?
Work. Let them get out their frustration doing chores like raking leaves, digging, mowing, etc. Nothing lite duty, something that will make them sweat that will take some time to complete.
Mom2 said something about working out at a gym which sounds good, too.

Same here. I thought it was my computer at first, but then the 'sky is falling' chick came on the screen so I knew the site was just being wonky.

Yesterday was so busy. I was literally gone all day from morning until 8:30 at night being super mom. Thank goodness there was coffee involved or I would've been toast. I was even able to squeeze in my daughter's blood test re-do. So now we can see if the protein abnormality was from dehydration or if it is still there. This may seem very wrong of me, but I kind of hope it is still there because then it will be an answer to all she has been dealing with that will point us in the direction she needs to go. I really don't like being in the 'no answer to why' in this.

Nova, nice pics of the boys. Glad your son's play went well.
byfm, sorry your bf gets so upset over his clothes. While I don't let mine touch the washer/dryer, there are times when he gets upset about something I didn't do that quite frankly he is capable of doing himself, as well. I find it very irritating, too.

Hi gigi. Can't stay. Was just popping in for a bit before heading out to town with DH. We have lumber to pick up and various assortment of things to do. Have a good day, even if it is at work.

My mom had a dove when she was a kid................she had to get rid of it because it was loud though.........

My uncle has a parakeet. We went to his house for a week this summer. I woke up every morning to microwave noises and a sound like something sliding across a laminate floor. SHUT UP POLLY!!!!! Then it got worse......*shudders*

I like yellow. It makes me nostalgic. We watched something on TV about colors, how blue helps you influence somebody, and Red is powerful.........that's why car salesmen and politicians wear blue and red.

I'm tired. Coffee time. :caf
