I wanna scream. My dad threw away all the eggs I had to go to the restaurant (10 dozen). Because I left them on the counter overnight (SO THEY COULD FIND THEM!!)!!!!!!!!!! Okay $30 down the drain. I was ticked. I told my mom, no more eggs. They threw them all away. Go buy them from the store. So she says fine. I go to get started on school, and I see her walk out to the car with all the eggs I had in the fridge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ***?!?!?!?!?!
I told her she could have eggs when she started paying for them! Oh, did I mention my parents have called me the b word 3 times in the last two days? Yep, great parenting.

Not. Cool. My mom used to call my older sister a lazy fat a.. All the time. She admits it too, like that is ok to say. Like when she called my 6 yr old an a-h. Some times parents get so stressed, they do not stop and think what they say to their kids. It is not an excuse for them. Not at all. But maybe if you bring it to her attention?

I tried to talk to mom about it, but she blames it on Dad. Then I talked to Dad, and he blames it on work. Then Mom feels bad and thinks it's all her fault, and says she won't do it anymore. Then she does it again. Then it starts all over again.

Crap. Lost another chick today. One of the Naked Necks too. Of course, it was my second favorite, and my first favorite is gone already. She was so pretty. Black feathers with a silvery/grey lacing on her wings............I thought she was going to look like her grandma, who was freakin gorgeous, but I guess I'll never know. Burning her tomorrow if it's not as windy.

And the neighbor's dog dropped by for a visit. Well, he was walking down the road and hell if I'll take the chance of letting him come here on his own. So I went out and got him and hauled him home. Almost lost a curious Sussex but she ran fast enough. I had a fun phone conversation:

Me: Hi. We have your dog. Come get it.
Neighbor: Absolutely.

It felt a little more like a hostage situation than anything else.......

Figuring out how to sneak that crazy dog past the chickens was funny. We got him through the sliding glass door that has no deck, so it's like 3 feet above the ground. But it worked so YAY!

I would give it a day just in case, see if it's just one? Kinda different finding that whopper all at once, i thought it came on slowly! In our woods we have these tiny berries that fell from the trees/bushes and the birds thought they were great, i didn't mind until i found lots of berry leftovers all over the coop! Steered them clear after that! So it is possible

BYFM, look again tomorrow... I have found those on occassion, and figured it is just shed, but never anything like that from the chicks. When the blackberries and the raspberries were growing, got some interesting colors at times.

My SLW was out of the garage today. She was out in the sun. Laying around, not really doing much, but very alert. She is making it to the water and the feed and did go back into the garage on her own to be near the heat. Still crossing my fingers...

Got the lawn cleared. The front is all piled and ready for bagging, the back is piled and ready for burning. Some of the side yard is also done, some of that will get bagged, some burned. I have 9 bags, hope that will be enough. HA, I think I will be getting more bags.

My hinge broke on the run. I have to replace that tomorrow too. My feet hurt. I have a blister. I have to get the clothes off the line. I need to duct tape my kids to the ceiling. Do they make duct tape strong enough for that?
