Anyone know what else I could do for her throat that's fast acting?
There is a tea called Gypsy Cold Care... there is one in the multi pack that has Echinacea in it. It is slimey but I tell you what it works!
She can gargle with a drop of rosemary, geranium, or peper.
Massage the throat with a drop of lavender or tea tree oil.
Pepermint is good to eat for the throat.
Apple cider vinegar or lemon with honey in hot water can reduce inflamation and infection.
Lots of vit C and orange juice!!!

I didn't know that on peppermint. Only that it was good on the tummy. Thanks for all the info!

peppermint is good for the gall bladder also. Stops the spasms.

Well, got the end caps part way finished. I got the one end fenced up. I still need to complete it though. I am thinking, that end I will leave partway open for ventilation. It is south facing. The north facing end, i have the plastic up so no owls can get in at night. No hawks can fly in during the day. I need to buy a few more poles and make 2 more hoops for the ends on the outside to help keep the wind from lifting the tarp and to sandwich in the plastic on the ends and the fencing also.

It was suggested to me that I just might want to run a wood support along the top with a center support. The reasoning behind it is sound and the advice is well taken.

The faverolle boys are turning into rotten teens. Poor Shehsheh got assaulted tonight by one of them... Stupid boy was on her backwards! I ended up taking him off of her, cuz when he was done messing in her wing, he just stood there, all stupid like. I picked her up, and she did not want to get down.

If I were to consider incubating in a few weeks, I'd end up with polish bantam cochin mutts.... Oh, man... Think of that combo! LOL

Fritz the Jerk is also an attacker. He's getting better though. I think though that he needs to um... be farther back on the birds of choice. He sometimes gets the little girls, but when he gets the big girls, he is so not in the right spot... LOL, their poor feathers... Teen agers.

Talked to the neighbor, Mrs. Brown, and she is not planning to move at all. She's decided to stay. Her daughter has come to live with her. I am so happy! I was very worried I'd get new neighbors who hated chickens. LOL. She was wondering what happened to Mr. Fluffers... Her and her DH loved him. Turns out, when ever she'd fill her bird feeder, she'd be feeding them seed too. Her and her DH enjoyed the benefits of having them brighten their yard with out the work of keeping them. I told her what happened to them, but that I have 2 more that just haven't braved it enough to make it that far out of the yard. LOL

Anyway. guess I will go and fix some grub for the people that occupy my house. HEHE
