No one can shut me up, lol. Never run out of things.....may not be smart things, but there are things...........lol.

I have been earning my wages, we are still a man down since a new girl is getting trained but long and short of it i had to man the kitchen solo this weekend. Yesterday i worked sunup to sundown, today i busted booty and got out a tad earlier.......... tired, but i have tomorrow off! I still have to sit down and think about what dishes i'm bringing to thanksgiving!

Don't automatically assume they are eaten, blue is a color that attracts a lot of attention, especially to novice breeders! (Yes, i like it too, and i do consider myself a novice as i don't know a very lot about genetic specifics, other than ooooo pretty! I would do a stakeout, for sure. If all you do is a padlock you will not know who is doing it, if you can figure out who there is a chance you could get them back..........................Have you had anyone to your house lately? Did someone in the family/ friends/' aquaintances of family / friends talk about you getting rid of birds, perchance? Too coincidental, me thinks.

I have a pretty good idea who is doing it. And they eat everything !!!! I mentioned it to only 2 people around here and I know for a fact that one of them wouldn't do it so that leaves one. Funny thing is after I mentioned it yesterday all of a sudden there are 7 instead of six. And I know there was only six yesterday. I counted them at least 20 times and looked in every nook and cranny there was. And the pen they are in is predator proof so I know nothing got them. I have never ever had a predator take a bird from this pen.

Boy, you are going to have to do something, but darned if i know...........i know i personally would lose my cool. ..
I am a non-violent person, until someone messes with my "babies".........i blame it on the fact i have no kids yet, but i am such a tender heart i probably would get that way anyway. I hate to say it, but i have had to deal with family/neighbor pets in a not nice and memorable way........my theory is if you make it memorable they will store it in their brain file as "important", thus making it less likely to happen again.............

That would work for me Nova except one thing...... I have all the Marans in with my other layers for the winter LOL. I can give you eggs, that's no problem. Just won't be able to identify them. you might end up with something like BobBry did, a Marans/Silkie cross or many other crosses. In that pen there are Marans, black copper, blue, and splash, welsummers,isa browns, delawares, a silver laced wyandotte, and a mutt (lakenvelder/blue andalusion.) Those are the hens. The roos are black copper, blue copper, 3 different colored silkie roos, cuckoo, & a delaware roo. Nice mixture lol

Oh gracious! So do not need any more silkie crosses! I loves em so much! LOL. But they can be such pains in the butt! LOL

We can wait for pure eggs come spring and you can have the polish at any time before then. (IN OTHER WORDS: You can have them NOW. LOL)

These people eat everything !!! Tried to get me to let them eat Huey

( the meat bird from Kim) I said absolutely NOT. He is a pet. Then my hubby looked at them and said " if you so much as touch that bird you will get an arse full of lead". My hubby looks out for certain birds and Huey is one of them. That is his bird. I just need to figure this out because these people are friends of mine.

Nova, remember my little bald auction hen? She's getting purdy! I only wish cocoa were here, she would have loved having a friend that looked like her! She is still a wild little thing, only time i can touch her is if i get her off the roost in the evening............ But when i hold her she will settle in and seems to enjoy it.



This is her chick, looks just like her! I will keep this one as well as cocoa's daughter, and the white rooster




If she were blue and rust, i would be doing a double take..............Body heart and soul her mother's twin......cookie is so much alike, but this one......... heart and soul. Even gives up treats and play time to be with me, though i haven't had much time to work with her..............so it's her innate instinct to want human hugs



These are the 3 i have to give up, i can't keep everyone though i wish i could! I am trying to steer in the direction of my breeding plans, can't keep a million birds, so i must be choosy

Fuzzy, just think of your paycheck. At least you know you earned every darn dime, and it wasn't just handed to you on a platter because you are entitled...

There are days that I just wish people would SHUT UP! I like to come on here, read a bunch, talk a bunch sometimes too, and just relax. I need to be able to do that so I do not blow a fuse... And My mom needs a friend but no one will put up with her, all the friends she had have blown her off in the last several years, and so now she is in here, bugging me with questions that I have absolutely no way to answer because I plain and simple do not give a rats behind about step cousins I haven't seen since I was a kid and didn't even like then, so I haven't kept up with them, and how many kids they have, what about this, what about that. I. Do. Not. Freaking. Care. Is it wrong that I don't care to be involved up to my ankles in the ongoings of people I do not know, wouldn't know if I passed them on the street? Sheesh. I am a cold hearted be och. I know. I need a fire. I care about my kids. My animals, my pay check and my house. A have a few close physical friends, and I have you guys here. Isn't that enough? Yup. I think it is.
