Yes, i do think she's evil. Or hateful. Or both.?? Many wrongs but i made the deal with DH's uncle, not her, so i thought i was safe.......? I don't know anymore. I just buttoned up and locked the door and went home.

Suppose a heated base would be ok with a rubber dish? I got the large shallow one from TSC with the handy handles, so the ice would break out easy without getting the fingers wet......

I figure i'll make a quick wall divider, release the chicks, and have the water dish sitting under the wire part of the wall, so both parties can see each other and drink out of the same dish without any danger of the babies getting pecked.

I use several heated bases in the winter. What I do for my plastic waterers is I put a thin board on top of the heater and then the waterer on that. Would work for a rubber dish also.

OH, that's too funny. DH just called me out to the kitchen to look out the window at one of the isa hens. She just stole a mouse from one of the barn cats and is doing her best to take care of it while the cat is trying to get it back. He isn't being too successful. LOL He had a small chance because she dropped it and looked away, but before he could snatch it back she grabbed it up and ran away with him running after her. The crazy things these animals do.

Seriously, if you worked here and lived here, you could keep your birds here till you had your own land. I think thats why I don't have in-laws either,lol. Some people are not happy unless they are hurting others and some SILs are the worst at it. Mine surely were while I was married. Now they are friendly as heck now that we're not married... Lol.

I know you want to help, heck i'd love to hang out more often, but I am doing well at this job, i don't want to have to get another!!! I have wondered what towns were close or between us that were still close to lamont, i think it's only allendale? Can't be bad forever, now that i know where the thorn is i can cut it out

Oh good, so you just have to protect the bottom of the bowl, then! Mine are in the camper, so though "uncle" says they're freezing i think it will be fine because usually until it gets into the 20's i don't have more than a thin crackle, so won't take much to keep them thawed

No just a tax thing. They would get more $$ back and I would have to pay more taxes.

I just want to go back to grooming. I love grooming.
Then I would have to get a sitter and after paying the sitter I would bring home just as much as I do now...*sigh*
Maybe if he can start school next fall.
