A.A.R.P. just won't leave me alone!! I don't feel old . . . I don't think I look old. I'm just not ready to accept the inevitable yet. Sure, I've put on a couple of pounds, have a few gray hairs and few well-earned laugh lines, don't pounce out of bed as quickly as I used to, but hey, I'm still young at heart, and my mind is just as sharp as ever. I want to take the time to embrace my maturity - not spend my time demanding Senior Discounts.

The worst was probably a few years ago when I read that A.A.R.P. was founded on the premise that no one should have to live out their life in a chicken coop. (That's True!) I thought, OMG, talk about tempting my own fate!

AARP has ben sending me stuff for like 10 years now and im only 42 now and ive told them that but they still send them to me

You kids better laugh while you can...

Now, we buy our geritiol in the gallon jugs.
Spring is here...time to take the snowtires off the wheelchair.

No, we're not old...but the first question my wife and I ask each
other every morning...."Are you still alive, dear?"

We started getting ours at 49 and 1/2. First mag had a picture of Jamie Lee Curtis with gray hair. They do some good stuff but some seems like a scam too.

Worst thing I hate about getting older and I'm only 52, is the muscle and joint pain last longer and comes on easier than it used to. That and the Girl Scouts always trying to help me across the street.

They started in on me when I turned 48. DH is 6 months older than I. He didn't get the junk mail until he turned 55!
If they send a postage paid envelope with the "notice" then they get to pay the postage for me sending it back with a "please remove from contact list" on it. They finally left me alone, but DH still gets crap.

Ahhh, but the insurance is certainly much less expensive than many others! I've had auto insurance with Hartford for years (via AARP). I'm a very safe driver, so it's worth it for me to pay less for insurance, since I don't generate any claims.
