Gagging Duck!

Gapeworm maybe? I have a turkey that had Gapeworm and she looked like she was gasping for air and not eating or drinking well...

Here's what I found on gapeworm :

Ivermectin (Ivomec) and moxidectin (Cydectin) are used to treat gapeworm. If your birds have a heavy worm infestation, a strong dose can cause problems whereby if all the worms are killed at once, blockages in your bird's system may occur.

@DuckyDonna, do you have any idea what is causing this?

Sort of but only from what I've seen others going through lately on here. I am not at all qualified or experienced in this to make any judgments and I wouldn't want to scare you to death and tell you something wrong. That's why I called @Isaac 0 in. He must be doing something but I'm sure he'll be on here soon.

@Miss Lydia, this is a duckling that lives in the creek in the backyard. It is a wild duck and stays with his mom and six other ducklings, but they are very used to people. That being said, it has had access to many other things rather than chick starter.

I would try to get it to an animal rehab as soon as possible

I’d contact a wild life rehabber for help . Looks like it my have aspirated something. Poor little one. Other than medical care you option is wild life rehabber.

Update: The duckling passed away a few moments ago. Thank you all for your help and quick replies, though. It was helpful and gave much hope in the situation.
