Phoenix smiled at Ice, as if it was a response to what she had said. Swiveling his ears, he caught the smell and sound of a mare. Rushing forward a bit, he saw a grulla mare. He whinnied to her.

Phoenix trotted up to Violet. Lowering his head in respect, he spoke low and calmly. "We have a new mare in our herd." He said, running his muzzle down her back lovingly. "Her name is Ice and she used to be in RiverHerd, but she left."
