Instead, it shook its frail legs and looked up at Black Ice, its un-cleansed coat shimmering in the faint sunlight.

Titan, who had given Dusky some space, was galloping towards the mare. When he came closer, he stared at the dead mare. A single tear ran down his cheek, and he galloped away.
