Once the coast was clear, Isabel tiptoed her way back to Dour and his mares. She was sure to keep as low as a profile as she could.

Dour turned his head ever-so-slightly, spotting the sneaky filly. He now had two unbred mares in his herd. That's what his old herd had been like; it wouldn't happen again.

"Fine," he groaned, through gritted teeth. "I fought you because I was leaving with Cocoa. You won, and you wouldn't let me go, so I tried to get you out of the way. I didn't want to hurt you, but you left me no choice. It's really that simple."

"Hurt me? You almost killed me! Yet you still haven't a single cell of compassion in your body! Leaving a mare alone! What kind of stallion who actually cares does that!"

"Dour," said the stud, his eyes still Isabel.
