The stud's heart began to race. He whinnied again, and broke into a gallop towards the sound.

Flare's ears pricked forward, but she did not race toward the sound. She'd been disappointed by studs enough that she no longer went looking for them.

"I'm Zephyra, who are you?" She asked curiously

Aurora nickered to Cochise to nurse if he was hungry

"I'm Cinders." Cinders kept up hrer nervous look-out, not wanting the mare or her sire to spot her.

Flare didn't take much notice of Sage sniffing her. Dropping her head, she resumed grazing. "Niceto...meet you, too."

A large-bellied Lissa trotted along a ridge. She whinnied for her old friend, Suha. She needed to talk with another mare who would understand what she was going through.
Buckshot woke up in the early morning, under a canopy of leaves. Stretching, he looked over at Enola. He nickered.
Fatimah awoke about the same time as Titan, and let out a yelp when the stinging and burning began.
Titan, still steaming about letting a potential BroodMare go to his foe, stretched out his neck and nickered to Theodora. When around the gentle giant, he felt peace. "When is that foal coming, sweetheart?"

Suha, who had been grazing about a yard away, whipped around to face her. "Oh, hey. Can I help you?"

Annalise, who had located a small apple tree amidst the overgrowth, nickered to her stud. She grabbed an apple in her teeth, and pulled it with one good tug. It came detached from the tree, and into her mouth.

Dour was captivated by the scent of the apples. He couldn't recall ever indulging in such a delicacy. Nearing Annalise, he nickered questioningly then lowered his head to one of the numerous fallen apples, nibbling it curiously.
