"Every stallion lies sometimes." Rain said, her voice soft, but her eyes shooting flames.
 
"Yeah?" he said, regaining his composure. "Well I did. I was a foal in a small band. Maybe four horses," he said, remembering. "My father told me, as long as I didn't challenge him, I could stay as long as I wanted," he blinked. "Well, he broke that promise, and I vowed never to do the same."

Rain didn't respond. She only stared at Jaxsun, her body quivering. Her eyes searched for a way out, but there was none. She wanted to go with Jaxsun; her mind pleaded for protection, and comfort, but it also told her that she would just be rejected again.

"Alright," thought Selaria, "enough of this eavesdropping for me, you gotta do something, girl. Either leave or help that mare out. I'd rather not be seen of course... " She edged further into the brush. "Hopefully that will keep me safe enough," she thought. "This is probably stupid, but here goes!" She let out a loud whinny.

Rain skittered in place. "You've brought friends?!" She whispered, her voice quiet with fright.
