Dancia pounded the earth, galloping at a back breaking pace. Fear filled her eyes, drawing out the white. She flung her head side to side in a panic. "Where am i?" She thought. Suddenly she was faced with a massive river. She skidded to a halt, kicking up rocks. She belted out a loud neigh

Onyx loped through the woods and and stopped at a large river just a few miles from where Dancia was. He lifted his head, bringing in the scent of a scared Mare. He nickered softly when he heard her neigh. Then he trotted closer to her, nickering.

Honey watched the foals play, a warm feeling of pride and love in her heart. She nickered her hello at Hakota, wondering what his thoughts were as he watched his son's play.

Gypsy circled once more, then belted off to the river in the middle of their territory. She drank in great gulps, and her foal, Kaliska drank too. "Momma?" she asked. "Can I play with some other foals?" she nickered. Gypsy stared at her daughter. "Well," she began. "There aren't any other foals in our herd sweety. So I'm afraid there's no way that can happen." she said softly. She nuzzled her daughters sad face, then said "But you can play with me." She winked, then trotted away bucking happily, urging Kaliska to join in.

Hakota nickered back, then turned and did the same to Firefly. His thoughts were troubled, he loved every foal born into the herd and it always caused him much sadness when he had to force out the young colts, his soft heart almost always persuaded him to allow them to say alittle longer.

Danica lifted her head, she smelled another horse, she nickered softly, but then her heart jumped to her throat when she realized it was a stallion, all the stallions she had ever met on the farm, were cruel and blunt. She turned ready to run
