Rebel noticed he lost Kaliska. He snorted annoyed that he failed to follow.
Lance snorted, "Looks like the wimp lost Kaliska. What we gonna do now tough boy?" He said staring at Rebel sharply.
The friesian colt pinned his ears at Lance's remark and stare. "Find her." He said flatly. Rebel was already beginning to act like a real adult stallion.
Lance rolled his eyes and trotted in front of Rebel. "Well let's get to it, squirt."
Rebel's ears pinned as he reared and headbutted Lance to the ground.
Lance bit at Rebel's legs as they fought.
Rebel kicked at Lance and scratched his flank.
Lance, obviously angry, viciously bit Rebel's shoulder, tearing skin.
In pain, Rebel knocked over Lance and galloped away. The only sign of him was a small trail of blood. He didn't know what to do. What would Lilac say....what would April say....what would Vanner say.....what would Kaliska say...."They'll call me a monster." He whispered as he galloped out of sight.

Lance lifted himself up. Blood trickled down his forelock. He didn't think about his head possibly being hurt. He saw the trail of blood and snorted. "Serves him right." He said as he went through the thicket to find Kaliska.

Kaliska danced from the river back to the thicket. She kicked up her heels, eager to tell Rebel what had happened. "Rebel?" Kaliska whinnied.

Rebel heard Kaliska's whinny but ignored it. She can't see me like this.... Rebel wasn't the one to start fights. He was never like that. What changed?, He thought.

Lance answered instead. He trotted over to Kaliska. There you are!

(oh and is Georgia excepted?)

"Oh, Lance." Kaliska looked disappointed, but tried not to show it. "Uh, wheres Rebel? I've got somethin exciting to tell you guys!" She whinnied.
