My 5 gallon diy feeder bicker has worked for over a year.... but the handle busted yesterday... am thinking bout getting a galvanized hanging one.... my only concern is spillage? Do they spill Out the food on those? I'd rather pay a little more now and not have to worry about it again for years, unlike my bucket one:( thanks!

Have you seen my thread In Praise of the Traditional Hanging Feeder?

I like mine very much. The brand and style I have has no spillage whatsoever.

I have a couple and mine try to waste way more then they eat.
I put a rubber bowl under it that is a bit bigger diameter and that catches the majority that is spilled.
Every day or two I pull it out and dumb that feed back in. Without doing it that way I would never use one again.
