gamble coturnix hybrid questions

old world quail and new world quails cant make hybrids

and that's not due to mating tactics

but due to the fact that eggs wont be fertile

its been tried

the eggs may show a germinal disk but just wont develop

so im still pinning my suspicion on the eggs being coturnix pure

I have seen the gamble try to Mount the hen and she had feathers missing off the back of her head I never have seen it for sure happen but o no he is trying I know odds r it proly will not work but I hope it dose

I'm not trying to start a argument but I have heard of the Bob bird a Bob and cotjrnix hybrid which is new and old world quail and I have found documentation of a study of a gamble Bob hybrid that did work so that tells me that bobs and gamble and most new world quail r related some what closely and there breeding and incubation times r almost all the same so if the Bob bird dose work I there may b a chance that the miss matched pair I have can throw a weird hybrid bird I put the first group of there eggs in lockdown tomaro so I guess I may find out unless the incubation time may need to b longer like a gamble but it is a coturnix egg so I will go at it like a normal coturnix incubation

Just saw another thread hear that said a coturnix will stay fertal for 2 weeks so this may b what's going on here so I will maybe no more in another week

no arguments here just trying to determine what's what to better help you

and if your claims are true then that would be amazing and you would be well documented as its never been done before

as for bob birds

I think its most prob Tibetan or tuxedo that crossed with a coturnix

also if you refer to stombergs, then they are real secretive about this cross, so much so that the old saying goes.

Pretty much lol they never give much info on them or any picks but two crows says the can stay fertle for up to 2 weeks so that's prolly it lol

Well 2 of the eggs hatched last night they look like a gold coturnix but idk I will post pics tonight

Well here they r like I said they both just look like a gold coturnix they seem a little quicker then the rest but that's proly just my imagination lol
