Game dual purpose hybrids???

Has anyone done anything with crossing game birds with dual purpose in making a large bird with the coloring of game birds? I love my game birds for their color - the game cock and partridge/wheaten colored hens, but they are just too small. Has anyone done anything with this type of cross? I am thinking of crossing my gamecock with my speckled sussex and/or buf orpington hens.

there are other standard breeds w/the colors you mentioned. Games have "look" that will be hard to get in other standard breeds tho. Color pattern has been duplicated but the look won't be.

Did some research on other standard breeds like you said and it looks like welsummers are the most like the game birds. maybe I should just get some of them. Aany others you can think of that are like the game birds in color?
