Game Fowl

Hi there,

I noticed on ebay there are a bunch of great looking "game fowl" hatching eggs. I think some of them are quite beautiful. Can these be cross bred with more "domesticated" chickens? Will there be problems?

i don't believe chickens will be able to breed with them. i don't know for sure though but only fowl that have a common ancestor or are somewhat related can successfully mate. for example a pigeon can't mate with a chicken. but a chicken and a turkey? maybe. i don't know for sure. should be interesting though.

yes they can be breed together they are both chickens, i dont think they meant game fowl as in phesant , bobs ,chucker. there called game fowl because of there gameness 'wanting to fight'
