hi all, been having backyard chickens for about last 12 yrs or so. buying adult hens for eggs for breakfast, something to tinker with. well went on a mission trip to haiti, left flock of 6 R-I- Reds with neighbor, lost whole flock to somekind of predator. So now we starting over with 2 pair, yr old OEGB's, and younger OEGB cock and his 2 hens. made coop more predator proof. All's well for now. older birds have somekind of odd growths on their legs and feet, not sure, maybe breed trait. birds dont seem to be bothered by them. they appear healthy in all other ways. i live in St. Matthews sc. looking foward to BYC. thanks and have a blessed day.

I have no idea what might be on their legs. Can you post some pics? You can also do as Drumstick Diva mentioned here and post in our emergency section for a possible diagnosis.

Welcome to BYC and enjoy your poultry adventures!
