i thought about buying pens from randall burkley but they were a 100 something.. Im planning on just keeping roosters in... I dont have alot of money so any advice on building one cheap is greatly appreciated...

dont know what dropout pens are but I have seen people use them at flea markets...

yea .. but was hoping if there was a way to make them for alot cheaper

But personally i wouldn't leave chickens in these pens 24/7 being so flimsy and not very good against predators.. Email me if you want and i'll give you a link on some pens for every budget pretty much and should be better for predators/more wind resistant and probably bigger... My pens are basically just 4X4X5 wire pens with tin on top and tarp on the sides during winter to keep the wind off, i can keep a pair or trio in there with no problem and honestly isn't terribly hard to make.
