GAMES FOR EGGS and other fun prizes

X2

Cj's stock is an amazing start... but it takes time, $, and proper management and breeding to keep their quality up...

Birds like those, or even mine for that matter, aren't something to be undertaken on a whim. They deserve dedication to the cause.
I'm always heartbroken when someone buys some of mine for their backyard flock with no intention of breeding, only to learn they were all taken by predators. I refuse to sell them more.

I agree they do need people dedicated to improving and continuing the breed... but I also cannot begrudge ones who can't do that from wanting to add them to their flock...

@chicken hawk 33, do you still have you incubator and will you be able to use it? I thought you said something about not being able to incubate eggs. If this is true, you might want to think about passing on this generous offer and let them someone else have a chance to win them.

Agreed.
I've always wanted Ayam Cemani but know I don't have the time or space to do them justice.
Everytime someone calls and tells me that all the birds I sold them were taken by predators or that they just died, I think about the quality of the birds and how much time I spent getting them to that point. Those dead birds should have been here helping to improve the breed.

Ok, can I still play even if I am under the age of 18, I just can not accept prizes? Is that correct? And can I accept prizes with a parents consent?

Thank you guys for all the support!

I do not have a problem with anyone wanting some Ayam Cemani to add to their back yard flock. People have different interests, different resources, and different abilities. Let's not exclude those who either can't or just don't want to breed.

However, if you are breeding, do us all a favor and breed to improve. Don't just mass produce. If you breed to improve, there is no profit, even if you ask for a premium. If you're not breeding to improve, your hurting the breed. JMHO.
