Gander or goose?

How can you tell the difference between a gander and a girl goose? was wondering thanks

Vent Sexing is the only sure fire way. Some breeds like Pilgrims are auto sexed so can easily be sexed. Chinese and African Geese can be distinguished by the size of their knob. In certain breeds of geese when first born female geese are darker than males but this trait is only present the first few days.
