Gander suddenly stops breeding???

If he has been breeding them regularly then the eggs should be fertile for quite some time, I would not worry about a few days.

If this gander isn't settled in or is not bonded to his mates what looked like breeding may only have been a way of establishing who was who in the pecking order. Get that settled and if he is not happy then no breeding. If everything is fine then as they are laying there should be breeding. Doesn't take a lot for eggs to be fertile and since geese lay so many anyway it's hard to imagine that 100% fertility should matter. Geese are way more sensitive to location and partner changes than ducks or chickens. Remove him from the girls and things could get screwed up for the whole season. For most of us it's early enough that something that doesn't seem right has plenty of time to sort itself out. Geese are intelligent, sensitive etc.. We humans don't always know what is going on. We do and hope for the best and if something doesn't work out there is always next year.

If he had been breeding them and it has only been 4 days then the eggs will still be fertile for quite a while. Do you worm regularly?

Yes I understand that the eggs will be fertile for a week or two but after that concerns me.
Will just have to wait n' see.
