Gap above gate to the chicken run

I agree with @Kiki. If the gate will remain as is, there's no need to seal the top. If you decide to harden the run, I can share pics of how I overlapped hardware cloth between the door and wall to seal the gap.

It's hard to tell how wide those holes are on the gate....so that would be good to know if not covering them up with wire. Not sure if a raccoon could get through a hole that size.

Put a 2x4 across there, attach to metal pipe with Ubolts.
