Ok, I am positive one of my hens has gapeworm, I noticed it yesterday. I think my other (30+) chickens have intestinal roundworm. My chickens are free range, but they have a run for nighttime. And I can't get flubenvet in the US so I'm screwed that way. Help me PLEASE!

Valbazen suspension is Albendazole and will kill gapes. It is available from most feed stores and is safe and effective: http://japr.fass.org/content/16/3/392.full.pdf

Dosage is done orally via syringe (minus the needle) at 1/2 cc for LF and 1/4 cc for Bantams. You don't need to withhold feed like some other wormers. Dose them one day, and do it again 10 days later. If you want what is comparable to Flubenvet, Hake's Twin City Poultry Supply carries Worminator.

Valbazen(Albendazole) will work against gapeworm, and Safeguard dewormer(Fenebenzole) will too. Here are some links on Valbazen and Safeguard dosages:

Safeguard paste (post #2 has the dosages): https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/416541/how-do-i-treat-with-safeguard
Safeguard liquid (go to post #3): https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/640369/capillaria-eggs-dosing-for-safeguard-10-liquid-form-needed

Valbazen:https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/401475/worming-with-valbazen (go to post #2)

You can get Flubenvet in the United States in the form of the Worminator. You can get it from Twin City Poultry Supplies (http://www.twincitypoultrysupplies.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=584) I use it, and haven't had any problems with any worms.

Don't use Safeguard during times of moult. It can affect proper feather growth. Fenbendazole is also useless against tapes.
