I'm pretty sure one of my hens has a mild case of gapeworms. She's been showing symptoms for over a month. At first I thought it was related to the heat, so I moved her to a cooler location. Unfortunately, she's still stretching her neck, tossing her head, and gaping. It doesn't seem to have gotten any worse than when she first started showing the symptoms, but I want to worm her and be done with it. I have panacur paste and was wondering if anyone knows about dosages for button quail? I've found info for chickens, but the buttons are quite a bit smaller and I didn't want to wing it in case anyone knew of a proper dosage. Thanks in advance.

I think you should weigh the quail and divide the dosage for chickens by the weight of the quail, i.e.

Dosage for quail = (Quail weight x Chicken dosage) / Average Chicken weight

I ended up doing this and then mixing it in their seed, which is their favorite. Thanks for the response and fingers crossed!
