Hi this is my first post. I’ve been treating my Buff Brahma Rooster for gapeworm for the past 5 days with Fenbendazole suspension. His crow is finally starting to come back! I know I’m supposed to treat him again when the babies or eggs emerge. My questions are, How many days do I wait until second round of treatment? Do I treat for 5 days again? Do you calculate days until next treatment from start date or end date? Here’s a picture of my beauty, his comb color is better. Thank you in advance

Handsome boy!

If you are dosing at 0.23ml per pound of weight, you would give for 5 days in a row to treat Gapeworms.

Gapeworm is not that common. What were his symptoms?

He started off losing is voice over 2 days. He had no other symptom for 2 days, then there were noises like gurgling coming from his throat. I then started him on the Fendendazole. By day 2 on meds his comb was turning kinda purple-ish. Today was the 6th day, cause I missed yesterday, but the 5th day of treatment and his comb looks better in color and his voice is starting to work again. I did give him a shot of LA200 2 days ago in case it was an infection, so I probably need to follow up on that too.
