According to the 04/03 meeting minutes on City of Garland's website, they adopted an ordinance change that includes now allowing up to 4 female birds instead of just 2.

Me too! I'm trying to determine if I should go ahead and get 2 more...........I just got 2 pullets less than 2 weeks ago. Not sure if adding 2 more will disturb their "home" at this point or not. My 2 seem to be pretty tight.......I remember when I added a 3rd dog in, all heck broke loose and it's never been the same since.

I think it would be easier to add them now while they are not cemented in their routine and while they are still younger. The longer you wait, the more cliquey those biddies get! When I added 2 pullets that were almost ready to lay and 2 pullets that were a bit younger, my original 4 hens were as territorial as hippos during mating season. They were so used to their little flock of four, and all of a sudden, there are new chickens in their yard!!!! EATING THEIR TREATS!!!!! They are still bent out of shape about it.

Besides, the sooner you get 'em, the sooner they'll be laying!
