Hmm - interesting comment, happyhen. I will have to look into that; I could be wrong but I tend to think most of the benefits of hosting an Olympics event are felt in the years following the games - the new infrastructure brings capacity for people to live, get around, and work in the area. I guess I look at it as the Olympics are a good excuse for doing a lot of infrastructure projects which are probably already needed!
